I haven't modded in Unity but I've made several games with the engine, and I would assume the scenes for the levels are pretty easy to play around with, enemies, characters, all that should all be prefabs that they've dropped on the scene, there's probably a grid for snapping things like enemies to the correct Y position for ease in level making as well. Our guide to Desperados 3 will help you finish all campaign missions and complete the game in 100 percent. Yeah, my thought was to basically make my own Baron missions, utilizing the old levels but with new enemy placement, new character loadouts and new mission objections. But maybe you could do some changes in the editor to determine stuff like coordinates that you like. Some other things like changing textures and audio surely also isn't too hard and probably even changing stuff like guard placement should not be too hard although it might not be possible to do it directly in the editor but instead require you to directly modify the scene files. I plan to write a few small mods to fix a few minor things or modify the AI behavior a bit when I have a bit more time next week or so. However, changes that only modify the code are actually quite ready to make since the C# code is not obfuscated at all. You need to model and texture all the levels yourself (maybe reusing parts of other levels but I don't think it's possible to make something actually different without some custom models) and this is made even harder without the original unity project. There isn't really a good system of reusable parts that can be layed out in a grid or something. I'm sure it would be possible with the help of somebody that has a bit more experience in Unity modding but even then it will surely take a good amount of work since all the levels are handcrafted. Modifying or creating levels is probably quite hard. ![]()
